Russia sends about 40 warships to Pacific Ocean ahead of Putin's visit to North Korea
The Russian Federation's Navy has commenced large-scale exercises in the Pacific Ocean. This comes ahead of Vladimir Putin's visit to North Korea, according to Bild.
It is noted that approximately 40 ships, boats, and support vessels of the Russian Navy are participating in the maneuvers. Additionally, Russia will deploy around 20 aircraft and helicopters to the region. The exercises will continue until June 28 in the waters of the Pacific, Japanese, and Okhotsk Seas.
Russia states that the drills are aimed at practicing submarine warfare and defense against air attacks.
Putin's visit to North Korea and Vietnam
