Russia's weekly number of airstrikes on Ukraine: Zelenskyy responds
Russia has launched hundreds of drones at Ukraine over the past week. In addition, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with more than 550 guided aerial bombs, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky reports.
"Over 550 guided aerial bombs, nearly 550 strike drones, and more than 20 missiles of various types were used by the terrorists in just this one week," Zelenskyy noted.
Ukraine's President emphasized that last night, the Russians deployed over 110 drones against Ukraine. As a result of the enemy attacks, a cancer center in Kherson was destroyed, and strikes hit apartment buildings in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia. This week, the occupiers used ballistic missiles to attack Kyiv and shelled Sumy, Kryvyi Rih, the Dnipropetrovsk, and the Donetsk regions.
"This is Russian terror, which we are countering. I thank our partners who continue to support Ukraine and increase pressure on Russia. With joint strength, we will ensure stable peace," the President stated.
Attack on Kyiv
On the morning of December 20, the Russians launched five ballistic missiles at Kyiv. All missiles were intercepted, but debris fell in five city districts.
The most significant damage occurred in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district. A business center, cars, residential buildings, a church, and a heating main were damaged there. As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv, one person was killed, and 12 were injured.
