Russia's night drone attack on Ukraine: Number of intercepted targets
The Russian Federation attacked Ukraine using ten attack drones overnight on December 30. The air defense systems shot down 5 drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"During the night, Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine using 10 UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type. Our air defense destroyed 5 attack drones," the statement said.
Explosions were reported in the Khmelnytskyi region tonight. The Ukrainian Air Force had previously reported on attack drones in the region.
Massive missile strike by Russia in Ukraine on December 29
On December 29, the Russian army carried out the most massive missile strike on Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war. Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Odesa were hit, with many casualties and fatalities reported. The enemy targeted social and critical infrastructure.
A total of 158 enemy targets were recorded in the airspace. Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down 114 targets in the sky, including 27 Shahed attack UAVs and 87 cruise missiles (Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55).
