Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 27: +1,690 troops and 1,826 drones

Ukraine’s Armed Forces have updated the daily tally of Russia’s combat losses since the start of the full-scale invasion. The figures include Russian personnel killed or wounded, along with losses of tanks, armored vehicles, artillery, aircraft, and other military equipment.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to September 27, 2026, are estimated to be:
- Personnel ‒ nearly 1,528,970 (+1,690)
- Tanks ‒ 12,384 (+8)
- Armored fighting vehicles ‒ 25,442 (+7)
- Special equipment ‒ 4,756 (+7)
- Vehicles and fuel tanks ‒ 154,245 (+517)
- Unmanned ground vehicles ‒ 2,762 (+14)
- Artillery systems ‒ 50,428 (+57)
- MLRS ‒ 2,163 (+3)
- Air defense assets ‒ 1,677 (+4)
- Aircraft ‒ 444 (+1)
- Helicopters ‒ 356
- UAVs (operational-tactical level) ‒ 535,846 (+1,826)
- Cruise missiles ‒ 5,118
- Warships and boats ‒ 35

Frontline situation
Dobropillia, Donetsk region, remains under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, despite Russia’s claims that it has surrounded the city and that its troops are making gains in this area. According to the military, Russian assault groups are attempting to infiltrate the space between defensive positions on the outskirts of the city.
Russian forces continue offensive operations along several sectors of the front, but no confirmed advances have been recorded in most of them. The situation remains most intense in the northern parts of Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
