Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 22: +1,230 troops and 1,441 drones

Russia has recorded further battlefield losses in Ukraine over the past 24 hours. According to Ukraine's latest estimates, Russian forces have lost additional personnel, weapons, and military equipment.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to September 22, 2026, are estimated to be:
- Personnel ‒ nearly 1,520,880 (+1,230)
- Tanks ‒ 12,364 (+3)
- Armored fighting vehicles ‒ 25,374 (+9)
- Special equipment ‒ 4,733 (+4)
- Vehicles and fuel tanks ‒ 152,173 (+312)

- Artillery systems ‒ 50,184 (+42)
- MLRS ‒ 2,151 (+2)
- Air defense assets ‒ 1,663 (+1)

Frontline situation
On the night of September 21, Ukrainian defense forces struck several key enemy targets, including the rare Kasta radar station, worth $ 60 million, and a drone command post belonging to the Russian army.
Meanwhile, Russian forces continued carrying out targeted attacks on Ukraine overnight and on September 21. The consequences have been reported in at least 10 regions, with people killed and injured.
