Ukraine's forces destroy $60 million radar system and Russian drone command post

On the night of September 21, Ukrainian defense forces struck several key enemy targets. Among them was the rare Kasta radar station, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Rare radar station struck in Donetsk region
Near the village of Pikuzy in the Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces struck a Kasta radar station belonging to the Russian armed forces.
This station is designed to detect aircraft, missiles, and drones at low altitudes:
- target detection range — up to 150 kilometers;
- estimated cost of the station — starting at $60 million;
- full model name — Kasta-2E2 (39N6).
In the Dniproenergo area of the Donetsk region, the Defense Forces struck a drone command post belonging to the Russian army.
In the Stary Khutor area of the Belgorod region of Russia, a concentration of enemy personnel was struck.
Operations against key enemy military targets are ongoing.
During a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, US President Donald Trump once again insisted on halting strikes against Russian oil refineries, citing rising global diesel prices as the reason.
According to sources, a meeting between the leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly is expected to take place in the coming days.
On September 20, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out one of the largest attacks on Russian territory, deploying more than 2,000 attack drones and missiles.
The Russian ministry of defense acknowledged that air defense forces attempted to shoot down targets in several regions of the country simultaneously, as well as over occupied Crimea.
