Over the past 24 hours, from September 26 to 27, Russia lost 970 soldiers at the front. Ukrainian forces also destroyed 39 artillery systems, 362 drones, and 91 vehicles, according to a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to September 26, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel - approximately 1,107,400 (+970) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • Tanks - 11,204 (+1);
  • Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,288 (+1);
  • Artillery systems - 33,186 (+39);
  • MLRS - 1,502 (+1);
  • Anti-aircraft systems - 1,223 (+1);
  • Aircraft - 427;
  • Helicopters - 345;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 63,931 (+362);
  • Cruise missiles - 3,747;
  • Warships/boats - 28;
  • Submarines - 1;
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks - 62,909 (+91);
  • Special equipment - 3,977 (+2).

Situation on the frontlines

As of the evening of August 27, there were 160 combat clashes on the front. The largest number of battles took place in the Pokrovsk, Lyman, Toretsk, and Novopavlivka directions.

In particular, in the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attempted 43 times to break through Ukrainian defenses.
