Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 23: +over 1,000 troops, 2 aircraft and 1 helicopter

In the past 24 hours, from September 18 to 19, Russia lost another 1,010 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed two aircraft and a helicopter, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to September 23, 2025, are estimated to be:
- Personnel - approximately 1,103,580 (+1,010) Russian troops were eliminated;
- Tanks - 11,199 (+5);
- Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,282;
- Artillery systems - 33,052 (+53);
- MLRS - 1,495 (+2);
- Anti-aircraft systems - 1,218;
- Aircraft - 424 (+2);
- Helicopters - 345 (+1);
- UAV operational-tactical level - 62,486 (+485);
- Cruise missiles - 3,747;
- Warships/boats - 28;
- Submarines - 1;
- Vehicles and fuel tanks - 62,486 (+123);
- Special equipment - 3,969.
Situation on the frontlines
As of the evening of September 23, 143 combat engagements were recorded on the front. The fiercest fighting took place in the Pokrovsk sector.
In particular, the enemy launched 44 offensive actions. Russian occupiers were active near the settlements of Nikanorivka, Zolotyi Kolodiaz, Rodynske, Krasnyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Luch, Myrnohrad, Zvyreve, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and Dachne.
