Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 16: +910 troops and 26 artillery systems

Over the past day, from September 15 to 16, Russian troops lost 910 soldiers and 105 pieces of military equipment at the front, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to September 15, 2025, are estimated to be:
- Personnel - approximately 1,096,430 (+910) Russian troops were eliminated;
- Tanks - 11,184;
- Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,274 (+5);
- Artillery systems - 32,810 (+26);
- MLRS - 1,490 (+2);
- Anti-aircraft systems - 1,217;
- Aircraft - 422;
- Helicopters - 341;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 59,719 (+310);
- Cruise missiles - 3,718;
- Warships/boats - 28;
- Submarines - 1;
- Vehicles and fuel tanks - 61,770 (+72);
- Special equipment - 3,965 (+1).
Massive Russian shelling on September 16
Last night, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones.
Air defense forces were active in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions.
In Zaporizhzhia, Russian shelling caused fires, damaged houses, and resulted in one dead and several injured victims.
In the Kyiv region, the enemy again shelled Ukrainian rescuers who were eliminating the consequences of the first strike.
