In the past 24 hours, Russian forces have suffered significant losses on the front, including 1,400 soldiers, 44 armored fighting vehicles, and over 70 artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to September 26, 2024, are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: approximately 647,800 (+1,400) personnel
  • Tanks: 8,825 (+10) units
  • Troop-carrying AFVs: 17,348 (+44) units
  • Artillery systems: 18,620 (+71) units
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems): 1,199 units
  • Anti-aircraft systems: 959 (+7) units
  • Aircraft: 369 units
  • Helicopters: 328 units
  • UAVs operational-tactical level: 15,946 (+67) units
  • Cruise missiles: 2,599 (+4) units
  • Warships/boats: 28 units
  • Submarines: 1 unit
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks: 25,353 (+105) units
  • Special equipment: 3,190 (+22) units

Frontline situation and shelling of Ukraine

According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian Defense Forces have reclaimed positions in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, while Russian forces saw gains near Vuhledar.

Late yesterday evening, Russian forces shelled Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs, injuring eight people.

Additionally, Ukraine faced a large-scale Shahed drone attack. In Kyiv, falling debris damaged a residential building and caused a gas pipeline rupture.
