Russian forces continue to suffer losses on the battlefield as the war in Ukraine enters another day. Ukraine’s latest figures detail estimated Russian personnel casualties and military equipment losses.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to October 1, 2026, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation

Russian forces continue to face setbacks on the battlefield, with Ukrainian forces disrupting offensive operations near Kupiansk and making gains in several frontline areas, according to ISW.

At the same time, Russia launched a massive overnight attack targeting energy infrastructure in Kyiv and the surrounding region, using nearly 190 attack drones and ballistic missiles.
