Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 24: +1,240 troops and 45 artillery systems

Over the last day, from October 23 to 24, Russia lost more than 1,200 soldiers, 2 multiple launch rocket systems, and almost 70 vehicles at the front, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to October 24, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 684,280 (+1240) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 9090 (+2);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 18,254 (+25);
- artillery systems - 19,719 (+45);
- MLRS - 1236 (+2);
- anti-aircraft systems - 981;
- aircraft - 369;
- helicopters - 329;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 17,597 (+108);
- cruise missiles - 2625;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 26,286 (+69);
- special equipment - 3,513 (+4).
Situation at the frontline
According to ISW, the Ukrainian Armed Forces succeeded in the Kursk region, but the Russian troops are putting pressure in the Donetsk region.
At the same time, the Kremlin failed to form an alternative security system at the BRICS summit in Kazan.
Meanwhile, the United States announced new serious sanctions against Russia for its aggressive war in Ukraine.
