Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 18: +1,530 troops and 51 troop-carrying AFVs

Over the last 24 hours, from October 17 to 18, Russia lost 1,530 soldiers at the front. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia's losses in manpower amount to 675,800, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to October 18, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 675,800 (+1530) Russian troops;
- tanks - 9027 (+13);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 18,053 (+51);
- artillery systems - 19,533 (+23);
- MLRS - 1,232;
- anti-aircraft systems - 978;
- aircraft - 369;
- helicopters - 329;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 17 152 (+48);
- cruise missiles - 2,620;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 26,908 (+93);
- special equipment - 3448 (+5).
From October 16 to 17, Russia lost 1,420 soldiers per day. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 17 tanks, 33 armored personnel carriers, and 51 artillery systems.
As of the evening, 10 p.m. Kyiv time on October 17, 191 combat clashes were recorded along the front line. 45 combat engagements took place in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions.
