Russia’s losses in Ukraine as of October 28: 740 troops and 22 tanks

Over the past day, October 27, Ukrainian troops eliminated another 740 Russian terrorists. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost about 298,420 personnel, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The overall Russia combat losses from February 24, 2022 to October 28, 2023 are estimated as follows:
- personnel - about 298,420 (+740) troops;
- tanks - 5167 (+22) units;
- armored combat vehicles - 9749 (+23) units;
- artillery systems - 7180 (+18) units;
- MLRS - 834 (+0) units;
- air defense systems - 558 (+2) units;
- aircraft - 320 (+0) units;
- helicopters - 324 (+0) units;
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 5399 (+9) units;
- cruise missiles - 1541 (+3) units;
- ships/boats - 20 (+0) units;
- submarines - 1 (+0) units;
- motor vehicles and tank trucks - 9524 (+11) units;
- special equipment - 1011 (+0) units.
Frontline situation
According to analysts at the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian soldiers are currently conducting active defense in the Bakhmut sector, and taking offensive actions to improve their tactical positions.
At the same time, the military made some progress and pushed back the terrorists on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region.
