Situation on the front line

As reported, over the course of a day, as of the evening of November 18, there were 150 clashes with the enemy on the front line. The most intense fighting was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka directions.

Intense battles are currently ongoing for Pokrovsk. The Ministry of Defense has concentrated various units there - the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Special Operations Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate, the National Guard, and others - to repel the enemy, who has partially managed to infiltrate the city. Russian forces have penetrated Pokrovsk in small sabotage groups.

Although the situation both in the direction and within Pokrovsk itself is difficult, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, recently stated that there is currently no talk of the city being surrounded or surrendered to the enemy.

The Kremlin has set a goal: to capture Pokrovsk and Kupiansk during the autumn-winter period, that is, by spring.
