The Defense Forces of Ukraine have eliminated 1,650 Russian occupiers over the past day. Additionally, Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed eight tanks, 26 armored combat vehicles, and 28 enemy artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses as of November 16, 2024, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 719,240 (+1650) Russian troops were eliminated

  • armored personnel vehicle - 18,994 (+26)
  • artillery systems - 20,520 (+28)

Situation on the front line

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its evening update on November 15 that 157 combat clashes had occurred on the front line since the beginning of the day.

Military command also noted that the Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv directions see the highest intensity of fighting. Meanwhile, in the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled over twenty enemy attacks.

Additionally, yesterday, BBC News reported that the rate of Russian fatalities in the war against Ukraine has reached record levels since the conflict began.
