Losses for Russia in the war in Ukraine as of Wednesday, November 1, amounted to 680 occupiers. The total number of casualties in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion stands at 301,490 military personnel. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed 28 UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and 30 armored vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to November 1, 2023 are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel - about 301,490 (+680),
  • Tanks - 5,223 (+12),
  • Armored personnel vehicles - 9,834 (+30),
  • Artillery systems - 7,250 (+23),
  • Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) - 846 (+2),
  • Anti-aircraft systems - 563 (+1),
  • Aircraft - 321,
  • Helicopters - 324,
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 5,468 (+28),
  • Cruise missiles - 1,547 (+1),
  • Warships/boats - 20,
  • Submarines - 1,
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks - 9,624 (+34),
  • Special equipment - 1,019 (+3).

Frontline situation

According to the General Staff, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled more than 20 enemy attacks on the Avdiivka and Maryinka fronts. They continue their assault on the southern outskirts of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and have inflicted 15 strikes on areas with enemy personnel concentrations. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are reported to maintain positions in Krynky and near Antonivske Highway, as well as at railway bridges. Furthermore, Ukrainian forces attempted to break through the Russian defense near Pishchanivka and Poima.
