Russia's losses in Ukraine as of May 7: +890 troops and 1,851 drones

A new report from Ukraine's General Staff contains new numbers of Russian losses in manpower and military equipment along the entire frontline. In particular, Ukrainian forces killed or wounded 890 troops over the past day.
From February 24, 2022, to May 7, 2026, the estimated combat losses of the Russian army amounted to:
- Personnel — 1,338,060 (+890)
- Tanks — 11,918
- Armored combat vehicles — 24,521 (+6)
- Artillery systems — 41,539 (+61)
- MLRS — 1,776 (+1)
- Air defense systems — 1,365 (+2)
- Aircraft — 435
- Helicopters — 352
- Operational-tactical UAVs — 277,912 (+1,851)
- Ground robotic complex — 1,336 (+4)
- Cruise missiles — 4,585
- Ships/boats — 33
- Submarines — 2
- Automotive equipment and fuel tankers — 94,545 (+233)

Frontline situation
Russia has disrupted the ceasefire that began on the night of May 6. In total, as of 10:00 am (Kyiv time), the Russian army has committed 1,820 violations of the ceasefire regime — attacks, including attempted assaults, air strikes, and the use of drones.
Moreover, Russian forces launched a drone strike on the center of the border city of Sumy, hitting a kindergarten building. Rescuers found the body of a woman. Two injured people were also hospitalized
