According to the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 3, there were 180 combat clashes at the front since the beginning of the day. The military command also reported that over half of all enemy assaults and attacks were concentrated in just two directions — Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka.

As a reminder, on May 3, it was reported that Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) forces destroyed a Russian Su-30 aircraft using a Magura V5 naval drone near Novorossiysk, Russia. This marked the first time in world history that an aircraft was destroyed by a naval drone.

Later that evening, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that on May 3, Ukrainian forces “brilliantly” downed a Russian military aircraft using a naval drone and destroyed another one with strikes on occupied Crimea.
