Russia's losses in Ukraine as of May 31: +1,560 troops and 1,894 drones

Ukrainian defenders inflicted new losses on Russian troops over the past 24 hours, targeting both soldiers and key military assets. Updated battlefield statistics from Ukraine's General Staff show the scale of the damage dealt to Moscow's war machine.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to May 31, 2026, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation
On the night of May 30, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck 23 military targets deep within enemy territory. Among the targets were a tanker belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet, the Kurganneftoprodukt oil depot in Taganrog, Rostov region, and a maritime oil terminal in Feodosia.
Moreover, the Ukrainian military destroyed an Iskander system and two Tu-142 aircraft at a military airfield in Taganrog, Rostov region of Russia.
