Russia's losses in Ukraine as of May 2: 20 tanks and over thousand military
Ukrainian defenders eliminated another 1030 Russian military over the past day, bringing the total losses of the enemy army in personnel since the start of the full-scale invasion to approximately 470,870 soldiers. Ukrainian forces also destroyed 20 enemy tanks, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to May 2, 2024, are estimated as follows:
- personnel - approximately 470,870 (+1,030) individuals eliminated;
- tanks - 7,332 (+20) units;
- armored personnel vehicles - 14,096 (+29) units;
- artillery systems - 12,044 (+20) units;
- MLRS - 1,053 units;
- anti-aircraft warfare systems - 784 (+4) units;
- aircraft - 348 units;
- helicopters - 325 units;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 9,561 (+23) units;
- cruise missiles - 2,126 units;
- warships/boats - 26 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 16,224 (+49) units;
- special equipment - 1,988 (+8) units.
Frontline situation
On May 2, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that during the previous day, there were 121 military clashes on the front line.
Military command stated that Ukrainian aviation and missile troops targeted 1 command post, 1 ground control station for UAVs, and 8 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
