In Ukraine, there were 121 clashes on the front line over the past day. Russian forces are actively pressing Ukrainian forces on four fronts in the Donetsk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,
Russian attacks
Overall, the enemy carried out 5 missile and 63 aviation strikes and conducted 72 shelling attacks from multiple rocket launchers on the positions of our troops and residential areas. Unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population as a result of Russian terrorist attacks. Civilian infrastructure objects have been destroyed and damaged.
During the past day, the following settlements were subjected to airstrikes:
- Kharkiv, Zolochiv, Hlyboke, Velyka Danylivka, Slobodzhanke, Kupiansk, Borova in the Kharkiv region;
- Diliyivka, Solovyove, Ocheretyne, Novoselivka, Prohres, Umanske, Zhelanne, Novozhelanne, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region;
- Lobkove, Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region;
- Olihivka, Tiahynka, Veletenske in the Kherson region.
Over 120 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.
Frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas and carries out sabotage activities to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions.
In the Kupiansk direction, our defenders repelled 14 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Berestove, and Kopanky in the Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 14 attacks by the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Hrekivka, Novoiehorivka, Nevske, and Serebrianske Forestry Area in the Luhansk region, as well as Terny in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, our troops repelled 20 attacks near the settlements of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; and Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Novyi in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, defenders repelled 39 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kalynove, Arkhangelske, Prohres, Ocheretyne, Sokil, Solovyove, Novopokrovsk, Semenivka, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka, Netailove, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the military continues to hold back the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with aviation support, attempted to break through our troops' defense 22 times.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders twice in the areas of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy is not abandoning its intention to dislodge our units from bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, during the past day, they made 9 unsuccessful attacks on our troops' positions.
Enemy losses
During the past day, the aviation and missile forces units of the Defense Forces struck 1 command post, 1 ground control station for UAVs, and 8 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
According to ISW data, the Russians are attempting to storm the positions of the Defense Forces in the Avdiivka direction and near Chasiv Yar.
Additionally, the Russian army may transfer two divisions from the Zaporizhzhia region to the east to reinforce the offensive operations in the Donetsk region until the Ukrainian Armed Forces receive a sufficient amount of weapons from the US.
