Russia's losses in Ukraine as of March 9: Almost 900 invaders and 53 artillery systems
Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of Saturday morning, March 9, amount to 850 occupants, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine to 423,160. In addition, the Armed Forces destroyed 85 vehicles, 53 artillery systems and 43 drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

- artillery systems - 10,428 (+53) units;

- airplanes - 347 units;
- helicopters - 325 units;
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 8041 (+43) units;
- cruise missiles - 1919 units;
- ships/boats - 26 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- motor vehicles and tankers - 13,683 (+85) units;
- special equipment - 1666 (+10) units.
Situation at frontline
According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian forces maintain positions on the western outskirts of Berdychi and Orlivka (to the west of Avdiivka).
Russian bloggers claimed that Ukrainian forces counterattacked near Berdychi and forced Russian troops to retreat from unidentified positions near Tonenke.
In Ukraine, 63 combat engagements took place in the frontline over the last day.
Missile troops units inflicted damage on 1 area of concentration of armament and military equipment, 1 command post, 3 radio-electronic warfare stations, including two R-330Zh Zhitel systems, 1 heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A Solntsepek, and 1 enemy ammunition depot.
