Over the past 24 hours, from March 3 to 4, the Russian army lost 1,340 soldiers in the fighting against Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 45 Russian artillery systems, 86 drones and 101 vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to March 4, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 879,410 (+1,340) Russian troops were eliminated
  • tanks - 10,255 (+3)
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 21,298 (+8)
  • artillery systems - 24,064 (+45)
  • MLRS - 1,306
  • air defense systems - 1,094 (+1)
  • aircraft - 370
  • helicopters - 331
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 27,741 (+86)
  • cruise missiles - 3,085
  • warships/boats - 28
  • submarines - 1
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 39,428 (+101)
  • special equipment - 3,768.

During March 2, 109 combat engagements took place at the front. Russia put the most pressure on the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions.
