Over the past 24 hours, from March 2 to March 3, the Russian army lost 1,350 soldiers in the fighting against Ukraine. In total, since 2022, the Russian losses have exceeded 878,000 soldiers, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to March 3, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 878,070 (+1350) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 10,252 (+11);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 21,290 (+16);
  • artillery systems - 24,019 (+60);
  • MLRS - 1,306;
  • air defense systems - 1,093 (+2);
  • aircraft - 370;
  • helicopters - 331;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 27,655 (+61);
  • cruise missiles - 3,085;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 39,327 (+109);
  • special equipment - 3,763.

As of the evening of March 2, 97 combat engagements took place at the front. The hottest area yesterday was the Kursk sector. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 30 Russian attacks there.

“In addition, Russian aircraft carried out 14 air strikes, dropping 23 aerial bombs, and Russia fired 398 times at Ukrainian troops' settlements and positions, including 11 times with multiple launch rocket systems,” Ukraine's General Staff added about the situation in the Kursk region.
