As of 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time on March 2, there have been 97 combat engagements on the front throughout the day. The hottest sector was the Kursk direction, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 30 Russian attacks, according to the evening report from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Enemy shelling

"The enemy launched one missile strike and 62 airstrikes, using four missiles and 62 guided bombs, conducted 869 kamikaze drone attacks, and carried out more than four thousand artillery shellings of our forces' positions," the General Staff reported.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled an enemy assault near the settlement of Vovchansk. At the same time, the enemy dropped four guided bombs near the settlement of Dovzhyk.

The enemy launched three attacks on our fortifications in the Kupiansk direction, near the settlements of Zahryzove, Petropavlivka, and Lozova, with one engagement still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces carried out 15 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Nove, Yampilivka, and Novomykhailivka.

Today, our forces repelled four enemy attacks in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Hryhorivka, and Oleksandro-Shultyn in the Kramatorsk direction.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russian army launched 14 assaults on our defenders' positions near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka today. One engagement is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, throughout the day, the enemy carried out 18 assault and offensive actions. The highest activity of Russian forces was observed in the areas of the settlements of Tarasivka, Promin, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Andriivka, Vodyane Druhe, and Ulakly, with two engagements still ongoing. The enemy also carried out airstrikes with guided bombs on the settlements of Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Leontovychi, Udachne, Oleksiivka, Novopavlivka, and Horikhove.

"According to preliminary estimates, today our troops eliminated 100 and wounded 83 Russian soldiers in this direction; destroyed a combat armored vehicle, an armored personnel carrier, seven vehicles, a motorcycle, three mortars, and a cannon; also significantly damaged a vehicle, a portable radio-electronic warfare station, and three enemy guns," the report states.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Russian army launched four attacks on the positions of Ukrainian forces, attempting to advance towards the settlements of Kostyantynopil, Pryvilne, and Skudne. At the same time, the enemy carried out airstrikes on the areas of the settlements of Voskresenka and Sychneve.

In the Huliaipole direction, the Russian army launched airstrikes on the areas of Huliaipole, Varvarivka, and Zaliznychne.

In the Orikhiv direction, two engagements took place near the settlements of Nesterianka and Novodanylivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy launched three assaults on the positions of our defenders.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy has not conducted any active operations since the start of the day.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their operation in the Kursk direction. Today, Ukrainian troops repelled 30 attacks from the invading army in this area. Additionally, enemy aviation carried out 14 airstrikes, dropping 23 guided aerial bombs. The enemy also conducted 398 shellings of settlements and positions of our forces, including 11 from multiple rocket launcher systems.

There were no significant changes in the situation in other directions.

On the previous day, March 1, 97 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines. The enemy exerted the most pressure in the Pokrovsk direction at that time.
