As of June 4, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1,290 Russian occupants over the day, bringing the total losses of the Russian army in personnel since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine to about 512,420 soldiers. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed 15 Russian tanks and 65 artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to June 4, 2024, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - 512420 (+1290) Russian troops were killed;
  • tanks - 7794 (+15) units
  • armored combat vehicles - 15020 (+18) units;
  • artillery systems - 13345 (+65) units;
  • MLRS - 1092 (+2) units;
  • air defense systems - 827 (+3) units;
  • aircraft - 357 units;
  • helicopters - 326 units;
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 10766 (+27) units;
  • cruise missiles - 2268 units;
  • ships/boats - 27 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • motor vehicles and tankers - 18228 (+69) units;
  • special equipment - 2211 (+12) units.

In its evening report of June 3, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that 124 combat engagements took place over the day.

In the Kupiansk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces thwarted an attempt by Russian troops to advance toward Sinkivka, Nevske, and Terny.
