From June 2 to June 3, Russian forces suffered losses of 1,100 soldiers, 12 aircraft, and 126 drones, according to data from the Ukrainian General Staff.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to June 3, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 990,800 (+1100) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 10,881 (+7);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 22,671 (+8);
  • artillery systems - 28,623 (+48);
  • MLRS - 1,402 (+1);
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,176 (+1);
  • airplanes - 384 (+12);
  • helicopters - 336;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 38,748 (+126);
  • cruise missiles - 3,271;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 50,607 (+145);
  • special equipment - 3,905.

Russian airstrikes

In the early hours of June 3, Russian forces launched another attack on Ukraine using Shahed kamikaze drones.

The hardest-hit cities were Chernihiv and Odesa.

The strikes on Chernihiv sparked fires, causing extensive damage to homes, shops, and a school, with injuries reported among the local population.

In Odesa, powerful explosions rocked the city around 3:30 a.m. Kyiv time.

The attacks damaged residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, and set several vehicles on fire. So far, there have been no reports of casualties.
