Russia's losses in Ukraine as of June 28: +1,000 troops and over 200 drones

Over the past 24 hours, from June 27 to 28, Russian forces have lost an additional 1000 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. Ukrainian forces also destroyed numerous artillery systems, drones, and vehicles, according to the report from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to June 28, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 1,017,720 (+1000) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 10,970 (+1);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 22 908 (+12);
- artillery systems - 29 665 (+35);
- MLRS - 1,425;
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,189 (+1);
- aircraft - 420 (+4);
- helicopters - 337;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 42 477 (+237);
- cruise missiles - 3394 (+6);
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 53 415 (+131);
- special equipment - 3,921.
Frontline update
As of the evening of June 27, 117 combat engagements were recorded across the front, with nearly half occurring in the Pokrovsk direction.
According to the General Staff, Russian forces carried out 53 assault and offensive actions in this area throughout the day. High enemy activity was reported near the settlements of Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Novosergiivka, Vdale, Novomykolaivka, Troitske, as well as in the directions of Volodymyrivka, Myrnohrad, Serhiivka, Novopidhorodne, Poltavka, Oleksiivka, Myrne, and Novopavlivka.
