Russia's losses in Ukraine as of June 16: 1,200 troops and 18 artillery systems

Over the past 24 hours, from June 16 to June 17, Russia lost another 1,200 troops at the front. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed 18 Russian artillery systems and 79 vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to June 16, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 1,005,060 (+1,200) Russian troops were eliminated
- tanks - 10,937 (+2)
- troop-carrying AFVs - 22,811 (+7)
- artillery systems - 29,208 (+18)
- MLRS - 1,418
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,187 (+1)
- aircraft - 416
- helicopters - 337
- UAV operational-tactical level - 40,804 (+95)
- cruise missiles - 3,346 (+9)
- warships/boats - 28
- submarines - 1
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 52,096 (+79)
- special equipment - 3,916 (+1).
Frontlines
As of the evening of June 15, 133 combat engagements took place at the front. Over the last day, Russians carried out most attacks in the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Toretsk, and Kursk sectors.
