The Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1130 Russian invaders over the day. The total Russian losses in personnel since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine have already amounted to about 508,780 troops. Also, the Armed Forces destroyed 12 tanks and 44 units of artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to June 1, 2024, are:

  • personnel - 508,780 (+1,130) Russian troops were killed;
  • tanks - 7,740 (+12) units
  • armored combat vehicles - 14,947 (+12) units;
  • artillery systems - 13,066 (+44) units;
  • MLRS - 1,088 units;
  • air defense systems - 815 units;
  • airplanes - 357 units;
  • helicopters - 326 units;
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 10,617 (+30) units;
  • cruise missiles - 2,230 (+1) units;
  • ships/boats - 27 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • motor vehicles and tankers - 18,006 (+101) units;
  • special equipment - 2181 (+17) units.

Russia's new offensive in the Kharkiv region has failed. This opinion was expressed by Michael Carpenter, Senior Director for Europe at the US National Security Council at the White House.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that on Friday, May 31, Ukraine returned 71 defenders and four civilians from Russian captivity.
