Russia's losses in Ukraine as of July 28: +1,180 troops and 51 artillery systems

Over the last day, from July 27 to 28, the Russians lost 1,180 soldiers and 30 unmanned aerial vehicles in the war in Ukraine, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the Russian military between February 24, 2022, and July 28, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 574,690 (+1,180) people were killed;
- tanks - 8,344 (+13);
- armored personnel vehicles - 16,095 (+21);
- artillery systems - 15,936 (+51);
- MLRS - 1,127 (+2);
- air defense systems - 906 (+1);
- aircraft - 363;
- helicopters - 326;
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 12,766 (+30);
- cruise missiles - 2,405 (+2);
- ships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 21,572 (+72);
- special equipment - 2,671.
The Russians are actively advancing in the Pokrovsk direction in the Donetsk region. Over the past day, the situation was also tense on the southern front, but the enemy did not achieve success.
In total, 96 combat engagements were recorded on the front over the past day.
