As of 22:00 on July 27, 96 combat engagements took place in the frontline over the last day. The Pokrovsk sector remains the flashpoint, where the enemy conducted 27 assaults and offensive actions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Enemy shelling

The enemy launched one missile strike using one missile, 63 air strikes using 88 UAVs, more than 500 strikes by kamikaze drones, and fired over 3,500 times at Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements using various types of weapons.

Situation at the frontlines

Six combat engagements took place in the Kharkiv direction. Five attacks by Russian troops were repelled in the areas of Hlyboke, Tykhe, and Vovchansk. Another battle is ongoing near Vovchansk. The situation is under control.

Estimated losses of the enemy troops amounted to 117 servicemen killed and wounded, five artillery systems, an armored combat vehicle, nine vehicles, one unit of special equipment were destroyed, and seven UAVs were destroyed.

“Eight artillery systems, eight vehicles and one unit of special equipment were damaged,” the report added.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy tried once to force Ukrainian troops out of their positions near Synkivka.

The enemy attacked 14 times in the Lyman sector, trying to advance towards Makiivka, Nevske, Terny, and Novosergiivka. The enemy was unsuccessful, no Ukrainian positions were lost.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled six enemy assaults in the areas of Verkhnekamianske and Spirne.

Two combat engagements took place in the Kramatorsk direction. The enemy was active in the area of Ivanivske and Andriivka, but all attempts to improve their situation were unsuccessful.

The Russian troops tried 15 times to break into the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense in the Toretsk direction. Since the beginning of the day, the occupants near the settlements of Pivnichne, Toretsk, New York, and Zalizne have been fiercely repulsed by Ukrainian defenders 13 times. Two attacks are still ongoing.

The enemy is attacking intensively in the Pokrovsk direction. During the day, the aggressor carried out 27 assault and offensive actions here. Russian troops are most active in the area of Novooleksandrivka, Vesele, Serhiivka, Yasnobrodivka, and Kalynove. In total, Ukrainian defenders have repelled 17 attacks in the sector, and another 10 combat engagements are ongoing. The situation is difficult but under the control of the Defense Forces.

“Our soldiers are making efforts to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory. According to the information currently available, the aggressor's losses in this sector amounted to 248 people killed and wounded. Three tanks, two artillery systems, six vehicles, six armored combat vehicles, and one unit of special equipment were destroyed. In addition, five tanks, three vehicles, four armored personnel carriers, and one enemy cannon were damaged,” the General Staff reports.

There are currently 14 combat engagements in the Kurakhove direction. The invaders remain highly active, trying to advance in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Heorhiivka. Ukrainian Defense Forces units repelled 10 enemy attacks, four attacks are still ongoing.

Six firefights took place in the Vremivka direction. Five enemy assaults were stalled in the areas of Kostiantynivka and Rozdolne. Another battle is ongoing. The situation is under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In the Orikhiv direction, the situation did not change significantly, three unsuccessful enemy attacks were repelled by Ukrainian troops during the day.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian troops twice fought back against the Russian invaders.

Today, the General Staff honored the soldiers of the 95th separate airborne assault brigade of Polissia for their effective combat work.

“True defenders of the country: strong, courageous and brave,” the report says.

Over the last day, from July 26 to July 27, the enemy lost 1210 soldiers. The estimated losses of the Russian Federation since the beginning of the full-scale war amount to 573,510 people.

A July 26 report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said that Russian troops recently advanced near Avdiivka. Apparently, the enemy has captured Yasnobrodivka and Lozovatske in the Donetsk region. Satellite imagery also showed Russian advances near Svatove in the Luhansk region and near Donetsk.
