Russia's losses in Ukraine as of July 24: +1,410 troops and 1,652 drones

The battlefield continues to take a heavy toll on Russian forces. Ukraine's military has published its latest daily estimate of Moscow's manpower and hardware losses.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to July 24, 2026, are estimated to be:
- Personnel - nearly 1,436,100 (+1,410)
- Tanks ‒ 12,201 (+10)
- Armored fighting vehicles ‒ 25,000 (+6)
- Special equipment ‒ 4,454 (+1)
- Vehicles and fuel tanks ‒ 124,787 (+544)
- Unmanned ground vehicles ‒ 2,006 (+12)
- Artillery systems ‒ 46,646 (+76)
- MLRS ‒ 1,968 (+7)
- Air defense assets ‒ 1,516 (+1)
- Aircraft ‒ 439 (+1)

Frontline situation
The Russian army is currently losing more than 5,000 troops every week in the war against Ukraine, according to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Moreover, this could be the only conflict in history in which the number of soldiers killed in combat exceeds the number of those wounded.
Russian forces carried out limited offensive operations near Kupiansk but failed to make any advances due to several specific factors, according to an ISW report. Russia's offensive near Kupiansk has stalled due to the density of Ukrainian drone operations, a shortage of trained personnel, and fuel shortages among Russian forces.
