Russia's losses in Ukraine as of January 7: +1,970 troops and 10 tanks
Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine have exceeded 800,000 military personnel since February 24, 2022. In the last 24 hours, the enemy lost 1,970 soldiers, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to January 7, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 800,010 (+1,970) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 9,710 (+10);
- armored personnel vehicle - 20,189 (+25);
- artillery systems - 21,710 (+45);
- MLRS - 1,260 (+2);
- anti-aircraft warfare systems - 1,038 (+4);
- airplanes - 369;
- helicopters - 331;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 21,708 (+83);
- cruise missiles - 3,014 ;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 33,226 (+170);
- special equipment - 3,681.
At the same time, Ukraine's General Staff noted that due to the constant receipt of updated intelligence data, there was a need to adjust some positions of the enemy's total losses. In particular, downed cruise missiles (in yesterday's statistics, 3,006 units were indicated).
As previously reported, as of 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time on January 6, 199 combat clashes took place on the front. Of these, almost two-thirds were in only two directions - Kursk and Pokrovsk.
In particular, in the Kursk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 44 enemy attacks while 42 battles were still ongoing. Meanwhile, in the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops tried to break through Ukrainian defense lines 40 times. 10 combat clashes were still ongoing by that time.
