Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Saturday morning, January 20, amounted to 750 occupiers, bringing the total casualties of the Russian army since the invasion to 375,270 military personnel. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 17 vehicles, 14 artillery systems and 10 armored vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to January 20, 2024 are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: About 375,270 (+750) individuals.
  • Tanks: 6,171 (+4) units.
  • Armored personnel vehicles (APV): 11,455 (+10) units.
  • Artillery systems: 8,868 (+14) units.
  • Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS): 967 (+1) units.
  • Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 654 (+1) units.
  • Aircraft: 331 units.
  • Helicopters: 324 units.
  • UAV operational-tactical level: 6,934 (+5) units.
  • Cruise missiles: 1,818 units.
  • Warships/boats: 23 units.
  • Submarines: 1 unit.
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks: 11,848 (+17) units.
  • Special equipment: 1,389 (+5) units.

Frontline situation

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, there were 103 military clashes on the frontlines in Ukraine within the past day. The Armed Forces are holding back the enemy on the Maryinka direction.

In particular, according to the Institute for the Study of War, positional battles continued west of Verbove, near Robotyne, Novoprokopivka, and in the Krynky area.
