Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of Friday morning, January 12, amounted to 840 occupiers, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to 368,460. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 10 tanks, 11 artillery systems, and 16 armored combat carriers, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 12.01.24 are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 368460 (+840) Russians were killed;
  • tanks - 6060 (+10) units;
  • armored combat vehicles - 11254 (+16) units;
  • artillery systems - 8710 (+11) units;
  • MLRS - 957 units;
  • air defense systems - 642 (+1) units;
  • airplanes - 329 units;
  • helicopters - 324 units;
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 6836 (+1) units;
  • cruise missiles - 1806 units;
  • ships/boats - 23 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • motor vehicles and tankers - 11612 (+16) units;
  • special equipment - 1339 (+2) units.

Situation at frontline

Ukrainian troops repelled 13 enemy attacks in the Maryinka direction and are expanding their foothold in the Kherson direction. Missile units hit 2 areas of enemy concentration.

In particular, according to the Institute of War Studies, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully counterattacked near Orlianka (southeast of Kupiansk) and liberated 1.7 square kilometers of territory. Positional fighting continued near Bakhmut, in the area of Avdiivka, and near Staromayorske.
