Russia's losses in Ukraine as of January 9: 820 troops and equipment
Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of Tuesday morning, January 9, amounted to 820 occupiers, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to 365,990. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 10 vehicles, 18 cruise missiles, and 9 armored personnel carriers, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Total enemy combat losses from 02/24/22 to 09/01/24 are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 365,990 (+820) Russians were killed;
- tanks - 6036 (+5) units;
- armored combat vehicles - 11,203 (+9) units;
- artillery systems - 8672 (+6) units;
- MLRS - 954 (+1) units;
- air defense systems - 638 units;
- airplanes - 329 units;
- helicopters - 324 units;
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 6823 (+1) units;
- cruise missiles - 1805 (+18) units;
- ships/boats - 23 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- motor vehicles and tankers - 11,552 (+10) units;
- special equipment - 1333 (+5) units.
The situation at the front
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian troops continue to expand their foothold in the Kherson direction and hold back the enemy in the Avdiivka direction of the Donetsk region. There were 67 combat engagements over the past day.
In particular, the report of the Institute for War Studies states that Ukrainian troops continue to hold positions in the left-bank Kherson region.
