Frontline situation

Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports that Ukrainian forces have liberated many settlements during their February offensive in the southern sector of the front. As of February 23, according to estimates, Ukrainian troops have recently liberated Andriivka, Ostapivske, Pishchane, Nechaivka, Radisne, and Nove Zaporizhzhia. Analysts observed no visual evidence of Russian troop presence in any of these settlements for more than two weeks.

Recently, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that during the southern offensive, Ukraine’s Defense Forces liberated eight settlements and about 400 square kilometers of territory.

At the same time, Russia plans to capture the entire Donetsk region by the end of March or the beginning of April. The enemy's plans to seize territory also extend to other regions - Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia.
