Frontline situation

On February 8, Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out overnight strikes on key Russian military targets, hitting a logistics depot, a concentration of troops, and a drone command post, the General Staff reported. The attack targeted enemy facilities in temporarily occupied territories, including a logistics hub near Rozivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, as part of ongoing efforts to degrade Russia’s offensive capabilities.

Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian airborne self-propelled artillery system in Pokrovsk, derailing preparations for an assault on the village of Hryshyne, the 7th Air Assault Corps reported.

Russian forces are most active near Vovchanski Khutory in the Kharkiv region and along parts of the Sumy region border, where they are probing Ukrainian positions with small infantry groups. According to Ukraine’s Border Guard Service, these attempts have failed and cost Russian units heavy losses, estimated at roughly two battalions killed and wounded.
