Over the past day, from December 24 to December 25, the Russians lost another 860 soldiers on the front lines. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed 59 artillery systems, 149 vehicles, and 600 drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to December 25, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel - approximately 1,201,230 (+860).
  • Tanks - 11,456 (+7)
  • Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,801 (+5)
  • Artillery systems - 35,435 (+59)
  • MLRS - 1,579
  • Anti-aircraft systems - 1,263
  • Aircraft - 434
  • Helicopters - 347
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 94,797 (+600)
  • Cruise missiles - 4,107
  • Warships/boats - 28
  • Submarines - 2
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks - 71,274 (+149)
  • Special equipment - 4,029.

Situation on frontlines

As of the evening of December 24, there were 130 combat clashes on the front lines during the day. The largest number of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction.

"The Russians tried to advance near the settlements of Ivanivka, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Sukhetske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Dachne, Filia, and in the direction of Hryshyne," the report says.
