Russia's losses in Ukraine as of December 23: +1,420 troops and 23 artillery systems

Since the start of the full-scale aggression, Russia’s losses have continued to grow across all types of weapons and personnel, according to a post by the Ukrainian General Staff on Telegram.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to December 23, 2025, are estimated to be:
- Personnel - approximately 1,199,280 (+1,420)
- Tanks - 11,446 (+8)
- Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,792 (+20)
- Artillery systems - 35,331 (+23)
- MLRS - 1,576 (+1)
- Anti-aircraft systems - 1,263
- Aircraft - 434 (+2)
- Helicopters - 347
- UAV operational-tactical level - 93,166 (+453)
- Cruise missiles - 4,073
- Warships/boats - 28
- Submarines - 2
- Vehicles and fuel tanks - 70,966 (+113)
- Special equipment - 4,029.

On January 7, the Czech Security Council will review the future of the initiative to supply artillery ammunition to Ukraine, which is being carried out with Western funding and coordinated by Prague.
On December 22, massive air and drone strikes by the enemy were recorded in eastern and southern Ukraine, along with dozens of attempts to assault Ukrainian positions. Since the start of the day, 190 combat engagements have taken place, while Ukrainian defenders continue to repel attacks and inflict significant losses on the enemy.
