Frontline situation

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Ukrainian Armed Forces had success near Velyka Novosilka and in the Kursk region. However, Russian forces are applying pressure near Kupiansk, Pokrovsk, and Toretsk.

ISW analysts believe that Russian forces will not abandon their goal of capturing Pokrovsk, even at the cost of significant losses.

Meanwhile, the US has allocated a new package of military aid to Ukraine, which includes, among other things, missiles for the HIMARS rocket systems.
