Russia's losses in Ukraine as of December 5: +1,580 troops and 13 tanks

On December 4, Ukrainian forces eliminated 1,580 occupiers. Since the beginning of the invasion, Russia lost nearly 749,000 military personnel, informs the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to December 5, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 748,950 (+1,580) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 9,506 (+13);
- armored personnel vehicle - 19,472 (+22);
- artillery systems - 21,023 (+21);
- MLRS - 1,253;
- anti-aircraft warfare systems - 1020;
- aircraft - 369;
- helicopters - 329;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 19,977 (+31);
- cruise missiles - 2,855;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- motor vehicles and fuel tanks - 30,843 (+97);
- special equipment - 3,630 (+2).
Situation on the frontlines
As of the evening of December 4, there were 156 combat clashes on the front. The most intense fighting remains in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions.
