Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 4

As of the evening of December 4, 156 combat clashes took place on the frontlines. The situation remains most intense in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
According to the General Staff, over the day, the enemy launched 25 airstrikes on Ukrainian territory, dropping 29 guided bombs and using 654 kamikaze drones for attacks.
In addition, the enemy carried out nearly 4,000 shelling assaults on Ukrainian military positions and civilian settlements.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy launched five attacks near Vovchansk and Hlyboke. One clash is still ongoing. An airstrike hit Veterynarne.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army attempted to advance toward Ukrainian positions near Kucherivka, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Pershotravneve, Zelenyi Hai, and Lozova 15 times throughout the day. Ukrainian defense forces repelled all enemy attacks. The occupiers' aviation also carried out guided bomb strikes on Dvorichna, while Lozova and Petropavlivka were attacked with NARs.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched 13 attacks near Hrekivka, Druzhliubivka, Makiivka, Terny, and Zarichne. Ukrainian forces stopped 11 enemy attempts to advance, and two ongoing clashes.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy launched four offensive actions on Ukrainian positions near Toretsk. Two of these attacks have been repelled by Ukrainian forces, while the others are ongoing. Kostiantynivka was hit by airstrikes using KABs.
Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attempted 39 times to penetrate our defenses in the Pokrovsk direction, targeting the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenke, Zhovte, Shevchenko, Pushkine, and Novopustynka. Ukrainian units repelled 36 of these attacks, and other clashes continue.
The enemy's losses in the direction today amount to over 300 killed and wounded, with two armored combat vehicles, four cars, three artillery pieces, one armored vehicle, and one unit of automotive equipment damaged or destroyed.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy launched 38 attacks on our positions. The highest activity was observed in the areas of Sontsivka, Berestky, Zoria, Novodmytrivka, Kurakhove, Dalne, Dachne, Romanivka, Yelyzavitivka, and Uspenivka, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 31 attacks, with seven clashes still ongoing. The settlement of Ulakly was hit by an airstrike using KABs.
In the Vremivka direction, our forces repelled ten enemy attacks near Zelene Pole, Novodarivka, Kostiantynopol, and Sukhi Yaly, with two clashes continuing to this day.
In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions, the enemy carried out airstrikes on the areas of Hulyaipole and Novoandriivka.
In the Pryniprovskyi direction, the enemy continues to attempt to dislodge our units from their positions, launching two unsuccessful assaults throughout the day.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 enemy attacks, with battles still ongoing in six other locations.
Russia's losses in the war
Since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost 747,000 personnel.
In particular, over the past day, Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated 1,670 Russian soldiers, as well as destroyed 7 tanks, 31 armored combat vehicles, 26 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment.
