Russia's losses in Ukraine as of December 22: 1,080 troops and 24 artillery systems
Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine, as of Friday, December 22, amounted to 1,080 occupiers. The overall number of casualties in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is approximately 351,350 military personnel. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 9 tanks, 18 armored vehicles, and 24 artillery systems of the enemy, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the adversary from February 24, 2022, to December 22, 2023, are estimated as follows:

- Cruise missiles: 1,613 units
- Ships/boats: 22 units
- Submarines: 1 unit
- Automotive vehicles and tankers: 10,944 (+25) units
- Specialized equipment: 1,217 (+9) units.
Frontline situation
According to the report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian forces maintain their presence on the eastern (left) bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region despite pressure from occupiers. Over the past day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled 30 attempts by Russia to displace them from these positions.
