Russia's losses in Ukraine as of December 8: 990 troops and 12 artillery systems
Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine have surpassed 337,000 soldiers. In just the past 24 hours, Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated 990 Russian military personnel, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The overall Russian combat losses as of December 8, 2023 are estimated as follows:
- Personnel: about 337,220 (+990) individuals
- Tanks: 5,626 (+8) units
- Armored personne vehicles (APV): 10,508 (+26) units
- Artillery systems: 8,057 (+12) units
- Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS): 919 units
- Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 605 units
- Aircraft: 324 units
- Helicopters: 324 units
- UAV operational-tactical level: 6,136 (+20) units
- Cruise missiles: 1,571 units
- Warships/boats: 22 units
- Submarines: 1 unit
- Vehicles and fuel tanks: 10,591 (+30) units
- Special equipment: 1,159 (+3) units
Frontline situation
Currently, Ukrainian military operations are concentrated on two fronts – Bakhmut and Melitopol. Ukrainian Armed Forces are advancing south of Bakhmut and, as reported by the General Staff, conducting an offensive operation in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Intense battles are ongoing near Avdiivka, a location that Russians are attempting to encircle and capture, as well as in the areas of Maryinka and Bakhmut.
