Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 6: +1,330 troops and 59 artillery systems

Ukraine's latest battlefield assessment indicates that Russian forces continue to suffer significant losses as offensive operations remain intense. The Defense Ministry reported further casualties among Russian troops, along with additional losses of military equipment.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 6, 2026, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation
Russia launched a massive overnight missile and drone attack on Ukraine on August 5, killing at least 17 people and injuring 44. The Kyiv region bore the brunt of the strike, with Russian forces targeting warehouses, logistics hubs and civilian businesses, including facilities linked to Epicentr, Rozetka, Fozzy Group and Nova Poshta.
Russia's Tula region came under missile and drone threat overnight on August 5, with a large fire later reported at a Wildberries warehouse. The regional authorities said missile and drone alerts remained in effect for several hours.
