Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 5: +1,130 troops and 1,715 drones

The latest battlefield data released by Ukraine suggests Russian forces continue to pay a high price for their offensive operations. According to the Ministry of Defense, Moscow lost 1,130 troops along with additional military equipment over the past day.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 5, 2026, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation
In recent days, Russian forces have continued their offensive in the Kupiansk direction in the Kharkiv region. Ukraine pushes back Russian forces by conducting its own offensive operation. According to American analysts, there is currently no evidence confirming Russian advances in this sector of the front.
Meanwhile, Russia continues terrorizing Ukrainian civilians and businesses. Yesterday, Russia launched an overnight attack on Dnipro, destroying a warehouse belonging to a Ukrainian major chocolate manufacturer, Millennium, and warehouses of the Lasunka ice cream manufacturer. The entire stock was destroyed; supply delays are expected.
Ukrainian troops capture two Russian soldiers without a single shot. According to the Special Operations Forces, a special operations team discovered individual hideouts used by Russian troops deep behind enemy lines.
