In the past 24 hours, the Russian army has lost 1,120 soldiers on the frontline, as well as equipment and two cruise missiles, according to the Ukrainian General Staff.

The total combat losses of the Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to August 5, 2025, are approximately as follows:

  • personnel - about 1,058,260 (+1,120) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 11,071 (+2);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 23,091 (+12);
  • artillery systems - 31,081 (+28);
  • MLRS - 1,452;
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,203;
  • aircraft - 421;
  • helicopters - 340;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 49,620 (+169) units;
  • cruise missiles - 3,555 (+2);
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 57,337 (+93) units;
  • special equipment - 3,935.

Russian army losses

During the previous 24-hour period, from August 3 to 4, the Russian army lost 1,010 soldiers on the frontline. A tank and several armored combat vehicles were also destroyed.
